The composition of gels for nail extension, includes some substance. This substance is reacts to a specific, for each gel, a narrow stretch of ultraviolet radiation. The gels are polymerized in result (look at the picture). If more in this area the radiation power, than the material hardens faster.
Traditional fluorescent light bulbs are shining in a very wide range. The whole power of the radiation distributed over the range (in the picture - green line). It is small at each specific area (Red lines 1-5). LED lamps are the opposite: they shine in a very narrow range. And the same radiation power is forced to concentrate in this narrow range. And the same radiation power is forced to concentrate in this narrow range (blu line). So, for example, the section 5 it is much more, than any part of the radiation of fluorescent lamps. And the material, "reacting" to this radiation, hardens very quickly. The ability to respond only to "own" radiation, explains the fact, that most traditional gels are not polymerized in LED lamps. It's like sunbathing under a normal light bulb: you can whole day lie under it – no effect.
